The Shavuos Scratch-Your-Head Conundrum
Do you find yourself scratching your head in these days leading up to Shavuos? We get you. Decisions can be tough. You want to treat your family and friends in Israel to something special, but you’re spoilt with choice. The cerebrum part of your brain in charge of decision making is sending messages to the neurons in your fingers to keep scratching. (We think that’s the way it works – but the anatomy of the human brain isn’t our specialty; chocolate is.)
Because Shavuos is all about Klal Yisrael receiving the most precious gift of all – the Torah, of course. But Torah is (thankfully!) available worldwide, in shul, homes, libraries, in downloadable and digital format.
Shavuos is also about eating dairy. Klal Yisrael didn’t have time to kosher all their pots on the day they got the Torah, so they couldn’t eat meaty food and had to suffice with eating milky products. So, for dairy lovers 3000 years down the line, we want to gift our friends with the yummiest dairy food around. Chocolate!
And of course, Shavuos is about pretty flowers, to commemorate the greenery that miraculously sprouted on Mt. Sinai, which had been dry, barren, and gravelly just the day before. So ,we want to gift our friends with flowers, which is anyway a beautiful way of seeing “Gut Yom Tov,” “We miss you,” “We love you” and so many other things best said with lilies, roses, pansies and peonies.
Momentum to the rescue. No need to rack your brains, scratch your heads, draw a blank, spin your wheels, or bang your head against the wall.
Because… you can do it all at once!!
We’ve got the most delectable dairy chocolates, melt-in-your-mouth Butterbliss cookies, AND fresh flowers. Beautifully presented, delivered straight to the door of your friends and family in Israel.
All that’s left is Torah study.
And, for that, as you know, your friends and family living in Israel couldn’t have it better anywhere else in the world.
Wishing you a happy and uplifting Yom Tov,
The Momentum Team
